Departing Fri, Feb 14, 5:30PM / Returning Mon, Feb 17, by 3:00PM
We will sleep in chalets, so no tent camping gear required other than
sleeping pad and sleeping bag. Ski clothes (water proof shell jacket) and winter clothing are very important: thermal underwear, stocking caps, good ski gloves, eye protection (ski goggles or sunglasses), and several changes of clothing as they will be wet after skiing. Ski bibs are great, but polypropylene pants with rain pants over them works well too. Bring a normal set of clothes (non-Scouting) for our evening out to dinner in Gatlinburg.
Estimated Cost: $475.00
Includes transportation, food, lift tickets, rental equipment (skis, boots, poles, helmet). Skipants are available. Note this is a high-cost event for the Troop so any cancelations after February 5th will result in forfeiture of 50% of the fee.

Scouts will earn most of the requirements during this trip, and we will work on the rest of the requirements in our Scout Meetings. The cost will be $75 and includes the event cost, dinner, and a light breakfast. We will be meeting at the Scout Compound at 6:00 pm Friday Night (January 31) and will be returning around 9:00 am on Saturday (February 1). Please have your scout sign up at our January Scout Meeting or let me know if scout is interested by January 27 so that we can make final travel and dining arrangements.
