2021 Summer Camp Sign Up Info

Hello T3K Scouts!

It is that time of year when we start to prepare for Summer Camp. The long-range forecast is once again predicting a beautiful, sunny week this year. As Mr. Dean used to say, “Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlige klær!” First scout to enter the correct translation on the summer camp survey gets a special T3K summer camp prize.

Summer Camp will be at Camp Daniel Boone in North Carolina. Our dates are for Camp Week #2, starting Sunday June 13 - Saturday June 19. The cost is $435.00 per Scout, and this includes summer camp fees, Troop supplies, transportation and the Thursday night BBQ. The first payment of $200.00 is due March 15^th. Mr. Davis will route an electronic invoice to those who sign up.

  • Step 1 - Complete the survey (ask your Scout leaders or SPL/ASPLs for the link) so we can get a head-count by Monday, March 8

Replies to this survey shall pertain to your Scout(s) only ( i.e. your child or children). Space for merit badge classes at summer camp are limited and registration for each Scout is entered by me, one at a time on the opening day of online registration. Scouts that are toward the end of the list may not be able to register for all of their preferred classes. To be fair, I will enter Scouts in the order in which they reply to this survey.

  • Step 2 - First Payment - to paid by Monday, March 15th

Like all units who register for camp, our Troop must have the financial resources to pay required fees in advance. The first payment of $200.00 per Scout is due by no later than March 15th. Those who reply to the Survey and sign-up for Summer Camp will receive an electronic invoice for payment.

  • Step 3 - Register for Summer Camp Merit Badge classes by Monday, March 22

More information will be sent out on this topic to those who complete the survey and indicate they are planning to have their Scout(s) attend Summer Camp. Included will be details on CDB’s premier first-year-camper program known as “Goin’ Great.” Registration for all merit badge classes will be done in advance through ASM, Mr. Scheffel, and based upon MB sessions requested by each Scout, in the order they are received.

  • Step 4 - Final Payment - to be paid by Monday, May 3rd

The final payment of $235.00 will be invoiced to you on approximately April 12th and is due by May 3rd. Again, an electronic invoice will be sent for payment.

Please reply to this survey with the assumption that all COVID-19 related restrictions will NOT be an issue. While Camp Daniel Boone has prepared for all group activities and events in ways that are designed to limit your Scout's exposure, T3K cannot prevent exposure to COVID-19 with 100% certainty during this outing. T3K recognizes the situation for COVID-19 may escalate regionally and that could prevent our Troop from attending. Nevertheless, T3K is moving forward to prepare for attendance with this in mind.
